Solar ITC extended through 2021

Christmas has officially come early for everyone in the  U.S. solar industry.  The solar investment tax credit (Solar ITC) has been extended for 5 years , as a part of the $1.15 trillion spending bill.  This is considered a massive win for the solar industry since the solar investment tax credit was due to expire at the end of 2016.

The credit will go as follows:

  • 2015 = 30%
  • 2016 = 30%
  • 2017 = 30%
  • 2018 = 30%
  • 2019 = 30%
  • 2020 = 26%
  • 2021 = 22%

This extension will allow the solar industry to grow further in the United States, creating thousands of jobs in the coming years.  On behalf of American Sentry Solar, we'd like to thank everyone in the solar industry that fought tirelessly to make this extension become a reality.
